Looking for a career in the sports and fitness industry? Looking to study sports and exercise science? Don’t know where to go? Let us help you. Here are 7 reasons why the International Sports Academy (ISA) is the best place for you.

1. ISA is faster than the typical route

With a GCE O Level qualification, the pathway to a degree in Sports and Exercise Science is through a Polytechnic (3 years) and a degree with Nanyang Technological University (3 – 4 years), spanning a total of 6 to 7 years. At the ISA, you can take a Certificate (3 months), Diploma (9 months) and a degree with Edith Cowan University (2 years). This takes about 3 years, saving you more than half the time!

2. ISA is affordable

A polytechnic education would cost about $8,000 and a degree in Sports and Exercise Science would cost you about $32,000, totalling about $40,000. ISA’s pathway would cost $53,500. Comparatively, it’s only slightly more, but you would save 3 to 4 years of time, allowing you to get ahead and easily make the extra cost back. Time is money!

3. ISA’s courses are internationally recognized

ISA’s programmes come from international institutions such as the United States Sports Academy, Australian Sports Academy, Pearson BTEC and Edith Cowan University. ISA’s qualifications are internationally recognized and we work with these institutions to deliver the best programmes for our students.

4. ISA’s diplomas provide advanced standing to one of the top sports science universities in the world

ISA’s diploma courses are recognised by Edith Cowan University. Students who graduate from ISA’s diploma courses get advanced standing with ECU’s Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science programme, saving 6 units out of 24 from the workload.

5. ISA has a strong network of partners and industry links

ISA works with many companies and individuals in the sports and fitness industry. With partners like Virgin Active, Triple Fit, Olympians Singapore, Sport 4 Kids, X Lab, Active Red, and many others, ISA’s strong network provides ample opportunities for students to learn from those in the industry with real experience.

6. Site Visits, guest speakers and practical sessions

ISA takes pride in taking students outside of the classroom for practical learning as well as industry site visits where students can gain first-hand experience in the operations and activities of various organizations. Some places our students have visited include The Pit, The Arena, Triple Fit and Singapore Sports Institute. Students were also given the opportunity to participate in the annual Singapore Convention for Health, Fitness and Sports, gaining valuable knowledge from the world’s leading experts in the field of Sports and Fitness. Guest speakers like Sergio Lopez (Joseph Schooling’s coach) and Jamie Tout (VX Sport) have also held sessions with our students to share their wealth of knowledge.

7. Get professional or skills qualifications on top of your academic qualifications

Our students are given $500 worth of ISA credits to take on any of our other qualifications such as our popular ACE Certified Personal Trainer Course, Certificate in Basic Sports Massage, etc. This means that you can graduate with not only an academic qualification from one of the best institutions in the world, but also professional qualifications that provide ample skills, knowledge and experience to get you started on your career. de ample skills, knowledge and experience to get you started on your career.
