ISA’s site visit to TripleFit

As part of ISA's continuing efforts to ensure that its students are exposed to the latest industry practices and developments, we arranged for some of our students from the Australian Sports Academy Diploma in Sports Development programme to conduct a site visit to TripleFit Gym, located within Millenia Walk.

TripleFit is Singapore’s Ultimate Fitness and Retail Destination. Spanning over 23,500 square feet including an outdoor terrace, TripleFit offers an all-in-one experience through the latest in athleisure wear from global brands such as Under Armour, C3fit, Odlo, Newline, and Every Second Counts, as well as a broad range of fitness programmes under one roof.

ISA’s students had an opportunity to see TripleFit's facilities with the objective of understanding the industry’s best practices in the management of a gym and fitness facility, the design of sports and fitness programmes, and how it could be integrated with a sports retail facility. Of particular interest to the student was how TripleFit managed to integrate technology, such as the polar heart rate monitor, and projecting it on to a live tracking screen during classes to improve the client's experience. This is also useful for the instructors to manage the student's workload during classes.

Our students who went for the visit felt that it was beneficial for them as this gave them a new insight on the types of activities that would go into the running of a retail and fitness centre. Here at the ISA, we make sure that our students are not only provided with first rate education in sports and fitness, but also the chance to be acquainted with the industry. This will provide them with the right training and exposure to become the sports leaders of tomorrow.
