How do I apply?

General Overview

Feel free to contact us here should you have any queries on the course(s) offered by the Academy, and on the application process. 

​

However, in general, the application process for any of our academic programmes are as follows.

​

Pre-course counseling:  

​

Pre-course counseling will be conducted prior to prospective student’s application to the Academy.  We will provide you with clear and precise information of the Academy, and on the Academic Programme(s) that you wish to take.  Course brochures and information relating to the particular Academic Programme will also be provided to you to assist prospective students and their parents/guardians to make informed decisions before applying to study with the Academy.

Course Application Form:  

​

Once an appropriate Academic Programme has been identified, the prospective student is required to complete the relevant Student Application Form, and to hand over all the necessary documents (such as identity card, documents relating to the prospective student's qualifications) to the Academy (or to the Academy's external agent).  The prospective student is also required to furnish all necessary documents and information as listed in the relevant Academic Programme application document checklist.  These requirements will be provided to the prospective student, and clearly explained to all prospective student during the pre-course counselling process.

 

However, prospective student who wishes to apply for an Academic Programme offered by the Academy must ensure they meet the entry requirements, including the relevant English requirements, for the relevant Academic Programme(s).

Interview Process: 

​

Once the Academy verifies that the prospective student meets the entry requirements for the relevant Academic Programme(s), the Academy will arrange for an interview session with him/her. The interview sessions can be done face to face for local students, or via video call (e.g. skype or whatsapp call) for international students.

During the interview process, the prospective student is required to bring along all original documents that the prospective student had previously submitted for verification. 

​

In the event where the prospective student is unable to provide official documents to authenticate his/her qualifications, the Academy shall administer the respective admission test, if necessary, to verify that the prospective student meets the minimum academic and/or English requirements, where applicable.

Recognition of prior learning 

​

Once the Academy is satisfied that the prospective student can be admitted into the relevant Academic Programme, the Academy shall ascertain if the prospective student is eligible for module / credit exemptions, where applicable. If the prospective student qualifies for module / credit exemptions, where applicable, the Academy shall provide the relevant Credit / Module Exemption Form to the prospective student.  The prospective student shall complete the relevant Credit / Module Exemption Form, and submit to the Academy for approval.  The Academy shall inform the prospective student of the result of the said application for module / credit exemptions in due course.
