What is United States Sports Academy

The United States Sports Academy is an accredited, sport-specific institution located in Daphne, Alabama. It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs as well as certificate programs. Founded in 1972, the Academy has provided its sports programs to more than 60 countries around the world.
​
The United States Sports Academy was the first and is the only of its kind in the United States. It was established in 1972 to turn around a new scientific finding that linked poor preparation of coaches to the injuries incurred by the athletes they supervised. Today, coaches everywhere can prepare thoroughly for their work. Through sports-focused instruction, support of research, and teamwork with professional groups like the National Federation of State High School Associations, the Academy showed how to meet sports professionals’ educational needs.

What is the USSA International Sports Diploma in Sport Coaching
​
The Diploma in Sports Coaching is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills, helping them to succeed in coaching all levels of sports, focusing on sports coaching methodology, sports psychology, sports medicine, sports strength and conditioning, sports administration, sports facilities and event management, sports nutrition and sports coaching technology.

Entry Requirement

Academic requirements
Relevant Certification issued by the United States Sports Academy; or
Australian Qualification Framework Certificate III; or
Recognised diploma from Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, or Temasek Polytechnic; or
1 GCE "A" Level pass at "E" or above.

English proficiency
GCE O Level Pass in English at C6 and above; or
IELTS 5.0 and above.
​
Other requirements
Minimum age of 16.

Full time:
Approximately 6 months, with 200 hours mentorship (in addition to lessons held at ISA)

Approximately 12 months, with 200 hours mentorship (in addition to lessons held at ISA)
