What is the ASA Certificate III in Fitness
​
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring autonomous work within a defined range of exercise instruction situations and activities. Qualification outcomes will depend on the elective grouping chosen and may include providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.
​
Work may be undertaken in locations such as gyms, fitness facilities, pools and community facilities.
​
This course is also a pre-requisite for prospective students who wish to take the ASA Certificate IV in Fitness.

Entry Requirement

Academic requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
​
English proficiency
All prospective students are required to take the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test administered by Australian Sports Academy.
​
Other requirements
Minimum age of 16.

General Course Details
Full time:
Approximately 3 months
(Average of 5 days a week, 4 hours per day)

Part time:
Approximately 6 months
(Average of 3 days a week, 3 hours per day)
